Obama: Information is a distraction

President Barack Obama gave a spirit lifting commencement address to the Hampton University (Va.) graduates on Saturday. AKA: A downer.
In the speech, he announced to the students that he is going the way of Venezuela's Hugo Chavez. Chavez took control of the media so they would say nice things about him.
Obama, like Chavez, does not like to be criticized. Throughout his term, he has attacked Fox News numerous times. This has only increased Fox News' ratings, possibly because people were wondering why Obama was attacking the cable news network.
Now Obama is saying, "information is a distraction." I always thought that information was power. I want to learn more. I don't want to be told how to think. This is not a dictatorship...yet.

Obama's plan is to take over cable news, talk radio and internet blogs. He wants everyone to love him, just like Newsweek magazine, NBC News, CBS News and CNN.
No one shall ever question the "messiah."
We already have a God. And, you better not take Him away.

As the American people have become more aware at the socialism that the Washington liberals want to force on the American people for the "greater good," these liberals are looking at "converting" people at the local level: at church.
This in fact was tried and failed in the 1920s and 1930s at the height of the American communist movement. Plus, it was through the church, the Roman Catholic Church and some extent, the Lutheran state church, that Adolf Hitler convinced Germany that it was the fault of the Jews that they were in financial turmoil. The corrupt Roman Catholic church just gave Hitler and Benito Mussolini the power necessary to convince their peoples that war was for the "greater good."
It's all about progress
Today, this type of church theology is back and it's powerful. It is progressive theology. It is now being practiced in a church near you. Maybe even your church.
Here are some warning signs:
* A spiritual vitality and expressiveness, including participatory, arts-infused, and lively worship as well as a variety of spiritual rituals and practices such as meditation
* Intellectual integrity including a willingness to question
* An affirmation of human diversity
* An affirmation of the Christian faith with a simultaneous sincere respect for other faiths
* Strong ecological concerns and commitments
* Social justice commitments
Or, have you been told that your view of God must change? Or, that the Holy Bible is just historical and does not relate to today? Or, is your church picking and choosing that Bible verses are good enough?
Progressive theology has taken hold in at least three of the ten largest Christian denominations in the United States.
The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Presbyterian Church-USA and United Methodist Churches have all been infiltrated by progressive theology. Progressive theology is socialism. It destroys what you believe in, all the way down to catechism and liturgy.
As a former member of an ELCA church, I know what is going on. It destroyed my church. The ones who believed in Lutheran theology left for the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
Below is what I see happening:
For example, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America now has many of its churches practicing Progressive Christianity. One of them is an ELCA church in north central Indiana, where I used to be a member. I recently checked on this church's Web site because I saw in the news that hundreds of ELCA churches are leaving the denomination, because of gay clergy, gay rostered staff and plain taking the "Luther" out of its theology. To put it frankly, the ELCA is not Lutheran anymore, at least at the governing level. Some churches are still Lutheran, but it's a matter of time until they are snatched as well.
Getting back to my point, the ELCA, United Methodist Church, Presbyterian Church-USA, Episcopal Church-USA, United Church of Christ and some others are now practicing this new Progressive Christian theology. This is where you question everything and pick and choose what you like in the Bible. In my opinion, not very Christian, or not at all Christian.
Through this, the socialists are transforming, or brainwashing, congregations to their worldview, not the Christ-centered worldview.

The way I took the message was that if you leave the ELCA, you are leaving God. And since when does God change. The reason I left, as well as hundreds of others, was for the changity-change. It did not feel like my church anymore. Also, I felt in the message that he was starting over with each paragraph and then the last paragraph I found to be very cultish.
I also looked up the authors he cited in the message and they are equally as nuts and consider themselves to be Progressive Christians.
What was more troubling were the sermons that were more like college lectures and had no relation back to a certain reading lesson of that day. If you want to check them out, they are on the main page's left column. I recommend you look at them, they are way out there.

I think this church is just a case study of the ELCA. It is the future as the Indiana-Kentucy bishop agrees with everything going on. I wouldn't be surprised if this pastor became the next IN-KY bishop.
Socialists never give up, they are now in the local churches to convince these congregations into the socialist worldview.
The thing is that the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod is not immune to this, where I am now. As well as other sects, or synods, within any given denomination. People need to be aware of what's going on in religion.
Now that the ELCA, UMC, PC-USA, E-USA, UCC and some others are now ordaining gays, what will stop them from urging gay marriage? Plus, other government entitlement programs?
On a side-note, the ELCA presiding bishop Mark Hanson in Chicago is also in charge of the Lutheran World Federation. This means he is practically the "pope" over the state churches in Europe and we all know how well they are doing. Power has corrupted the ELCA, much like power has corrupted politicians. I also see the IN-KY synod bishop as a "cardinal."
Martin Luther did not like the structure of the Roman Catholic church as he saw it as corruption, yet, the ELCA went the way of the RC church. Meanwhile, the LCMS and Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod, or WELS, each went for the congregational structure, rather than episcopal structure. So LCMS and WELS churches are more independent than ELCA churches are.

Fmr. President George W. Bush takes aim at Obama's policies...finally (he's a Conservative again!)

Former President George W. Bush has apparently had enough at seeing the United States government take control of industries, attack capitalism, promoting socialized health care and he also talked about harsh interrogations at Gitmo.

Bush said he knows it's going to be the private sector that leads the country out of the current economic times that we are in.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel's party sent a historic defeat to their center-left rivals in the European Parliament vote.

Merkel and French President Nicolas Sarkozy have been against any European stimulus, unlike British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, who has been under heat to resign.

This shows that many Europeans are upset at how the current liberal-socialist parties have dealt with a world-wide recession by taking over banks and private companies.

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.

Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blind the foolish.

Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations" were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.

These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?

These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more then a whimper to their masters.

Then came Barack Obama's command that GM's (General Motor) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of "pure" free markets, the American president now has the power, the self given power, to fire CEOs and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.

So it should be no surprise, that the American president has followed this up with a "bold" move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies. I am sure that if given the chance, they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less then two months ago, warned Obama and UK's Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our "wise" Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.

Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper...but a "freeman" whimper.

So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set "fair" maximum salaries, evaluate performance and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses? Senator Barney Franks, a social pervert basking in his homosexuality (of course, amongst the modern, enlightened American societal norm, as well as that of the general West, homosexuality is not only not a looked down upon life choice, but is often praised as a virtue) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.

The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.

The proud American will go down into his slavery with out a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker.

President Barack Obama is scared, very scared. He wants socialized health care by year's end. I know why. He sees the writing on the wall. The Democrats are in trouble in the 2010 election. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., is in danger of losing the election. Obama wants to put this country so far in debt, so we will embrace socialism with open arms.

Now some are saying that a national sales tax could help in the process of getting socialized health care. How nice. Another failed Obama campaign promise. This country is in debt and they keep spending and spending. The Chinese aren't happy with our government spending, you know. When will the U.S. dollar stop being the world currency? We are spending out of existence and the government wants us to have "free" health care. That sounds about right.

Geithner: Bailout repayments from large banks to help smaller banks

Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner said on Wednesday that the bailouts to only the larger banks is not fair to smaller community banks. So what better way to make it fair? How about have the government take control over the smaller banks too! Geithner said the Obama administration will use bailout money repaid by large banks to provide additional capital infusions to smaller banks.

But, I thought the smaller banks knew how to run their businesses. I hope these banks don't fall for this. The U.S. government wants total control over the banking system. They want capitalism to die.

The liberals in Washington are scared of what is going to happen in the next election cycle. You know, the loss of their jobs. So, it's time to ruin the country while they still can, and do it early so people may forget by 2010.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Wednesday that the House would have the health care bill on the floor by the end of July and President Barack Obama loved this news.

Now, my issue with this news is that how can you get a good bill on the floor in so little time. It is going to be totally messed up. It takes months to write up a good bill. And, this bill is not some minor bill. This will change health care forever. But, the Democrats in Washington don't care.

Big Brother is already here

The government is watching over you. Do you realize it? If the government thinks that a company that is "too big to fail" is about to fail, they can step in and take it over. But, already, we have the government practically running a couple companies already.

The government already fired General Motor's former CEO and who knows what the government is making the new CEO do. The government owns 80 percent of AIG, yet they attacked the CEO that they put in power. Barney Frank and Chris Dodd are idiots.

Now we have a senator who wants to bailout the newspapers. He wants the bailed out newspapers to become non-profits like NPR and PBS. Is this constitutional? No way! This violates the first amendment! Who's going to stand up to the government?

The Democrats, uh hem, I mean the far left-wing extremists are shredding the Constitution and want the U.S. to turn into Russia or Venezuela. You know, a country where the State owns industry and the media.

This is nuts!!!!!

We are already practically a socialist state, but are we heading on the path to communism or fascism?

Where are we heading?

My insight on political news returns tomorrow (April 1)! I know it has been a while, so I have some quotes from President Ronald Reagan to chew on for now.

There is plenty to talk about as we march to socialism, oh wait, we are already there. Well, huh, then where are we marching? What is down the road from socialism? Where are we heading?

I will take a look at the possible future and of socialism in the past. As an appetizer, Hitler socialized Germany. What's next. We'll take a look back and a look forward.

We need the words of Reagan as we move toward Obama's change

President Obama's "change we can believe in" is SOCIALISM. We know that for sure now. At this time, let's look at the warning from President Reagan. Who will be the next person like Reagan? Will it be too late? The Socialist Party has hijacked the Democratic Party. What can be done? Reagan warned us, but did we listen? I did, did you?

Socialize sports?

A reporter asked University of Connecticut basketball coach Jim Calhoun if he should take a pay cut due to the hard economic times of the state. I agree that coaches and athletes are paid too much. I always ask myself, "What do they do with all of that money?" But it isn't the coach or athlete's fault that he is getting that enormous salary. If I had the chance on getting paid that much, I'd take it.

The people who get paid large salaries can do what they please with their money. They can give some of it to charity or spend it all on themselves.

I, for one, wish that athletes did not get paid so much. I want to go to the games and they are so expensive. But, if their employer wants to pay them a lot, that's their problem.

Obama wants to halve budget deficit

President Barack Obama said today in his weekly radio address that he wants to halve the federal budget deficit. His goal is to halve the $1.3 trillion deficit to $533 billion by 2013. But how? What would a blazing liberal socialist do? Well, what else? Tax, tax and tax some more. Tax the wealthy until they aren't wealthy anymore. We all must be equal.

Obama also said that he is going to scale back troops in Iraq and withdraw most combat troops within 16 months of taking office. And, get rid of the Bush tax cuts. You know, why give money back to tax payers? Why not just tax them.

How else are we going to get free healthcare? Tax, tax and tax some more.

The sad thing is that the deficit that Obama is talking about does not include the $787 stimulus package.

And, don't forget about Obama's plan to end America's reliance on foreign oil. We must get green technology. You know, "green" technology is not cheap. We are in a recession, so how can "green" technology be paid for? Tax, tax and tax. And, what company makes this "green" technology? General Electric. We already know about General Electric and its ties to Obama and television.

Obama, you talk about fiscal discipline. You say we must to this and that. Look who's talking?! Do as I say and not as I do. What a hypocrite increasing the temperature in the White House to feel like Hawai'i.

Obama, cabinet continue to put down America

The latest is Attorney General Eric Holder. He says that the United States is a "nation of cowards" when it comes to racial matters.

He believes this country is as racist as it was 50 years ago. I though racism ended when Barack Obama got elected.

If anyone is racist, it's those people who voted for Obama only to forgive their own racist views. The Democratic Party thrives on racism, just look at Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.

Don't forget about Obama, he says the word "crisis" every day. He is now the leader of the socialist revolution, you know, bailouts to everyone, including people who don't deserve their homes.

So, some kids have realized who Barack Obama really is: a socialist. These students at the school where Obama was speaking at in Arizona were watching him speak on a closed-circuit television in a classroom.

As the speech went on, students in an advanced placement government class began making negative remarks about Obama and his policies.

Newsweek: We Are All Socialists Now

Newsweek magazine embraces Socialism. They love Socialism so much that they made it the leading story on this week's publication.

"We are all Socialists now."

Newsweek says that the United States now more closely resembles a European country and lost it's American values. America has lost Capitalism and so we must embrace Socialism and later, it's cousin, Communism.

European citizens depend on their governments for everything. The State practically "owns" them. High taxes give them free schooling and free healthcare after waiting hours, sometimes years, in long lines at hospitals. The percentage of people who believe in God is very low because it is so depressing to be a European. This is the future that Newsweek wants for America.

Good thing that President Obama knows all about Socialism. He can get us through this.
