Pope says abortion, same-sex marriage are most "insidious and dangerous" threats facing the world today

Well, I'm glad that the Roman Catholic pope is standing by the Bible.

Some Christians, ah hem, "Christians," they deserve quotes sometimes, are now picking what they like in the Bible and say that it was written at a different time and doesn't relate to today's life.

Pope Benedict XVI may be saying these things, but he better find a way to get his followers to believe the same things. Some people, like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who now speaks for the Catholics in America, do not.

If you are a Catholic, you must believe its theology. Same with other denominations.

Mixed reaction for Obama at Notre Dame

Yesterday, President Barack Obama was the main speaker at the University of Notre Dame commencement. He urged the graduating class to "find common ground" when it comes to abortion. I am not sure what that is, exactly. You are either for it or you are against it. Inside the Joyce Center, where the commencement occurred, there were few protests, but outside there was many. Most were arrested for trespassing.

The vast majority of the students inside supported Obama speaking. Many would think that the Catholic university didn't care about Obama's stance on abortion. But, the main thing is, these students may not understand the Church's stance and may not even attend a Roman Catholic church. For those believers, they would be admittedly against Obama speaking because he does not even come close to the Church's doctrine. Now, I know Obama is not a Catholic. But, what is he anyway?

Father Jenkins, the University of Notre Dame president, said Obama's speech does not mean that the university agrees with Obama, but how can a university honor a man who does not give babies the right to live.

Below are videos of Obama's speech and reaction.

Pelosi reminded by pope on what a Catholic believes

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who is all-knowing when it comes to Catholic affairs, got reminded on basic, and I mean basic, Christian beliefs when it comes to life.

Pope Benedict XVI told Pelosi that we have to protect life "at all stages of its development." She has voted for abortions over and over again. Word on if this sunk into Pelosi's head is not for certain because she does not typically follow her beliefs and political laws. She makes her own.

I find it interesting that California is in a deep financial crisis and the United States is also in economic trouble. Pelosi is from California and is the most powerful woman in America. Some may say Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, but it is really Pelosi.
