California citizens to vote on state's future tomorrow
The state of California is bankrupt. It has no money. It is billions in debt. Tomorrow we'll find out if California will survive in its current state.
Current Highest Taxed States (Top 5 per category):
Gasoline Tax--
1. New York: 41.3 cents
2. Washington: 37.5 cents
3. California: 35.3 cents
4. Florida: 34.5 cents
5. Hawai'i: 33.6 cents
Cigarette Tax:
1. New York: $2.75
2. New Jersey: $2.58
3. Massachusetts: $2.51
4. Washington: $2.03
5. Alaska, Arizona, Connecticut, Hawai'i, Maine, Maryland, Michigan
Beer Tax:
1. Alaska: $1.07
2. Alabama: $1.05
3. Georgia: $1.01

5. South Carolina: $0.77
Sales Tax:
1. California: 7.25 percent
