"Assault" on the Second Amendment

Attorney General Eric Holder has done it again. This time he is attacking the Second Amendment. He is proposing a ban on assault weapons in the United States.

Holder says this ban would cut down on the flow of guns from the United States in to Mexico. This may be true, but this is an attack on the Second Amendment. And, with no sales, this would mean that only the criminals would have the guns and the innocent would have no defense against them.

This can be bad, very bad.

Hillary Clinton upsets Jews over Israel criticism

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton won over the Jews when she was a junior senator from New York. But now, as Secretary of State, she seems to be siding with the Palestinians in the war between Israel and Hamas.

In the past as First Lady, she was close to the Palestians and now again, in her new position, she is moving back to that same theme. As a senator she was for Israel, but that could be just to get votes.

In the article below, Jews in New York express their distrust in Clinton.

NBA teams in need of loans

The National Basketball Association approached JP Morgan Chase and Bank of America for a $200 million loan to help keep 12 of its teams afloat. The 12 teams have not been named.

In my opinion, NBA tickets are too expensive. They are expensive because of each team's expenses, which include the roster, management payroll, travel expenses among other things. In all of sports, players are paid too much and this leads to increased ticket prices. And, when a team has a good year, usually the team increases prices.

Chris Matthews Apologizes for "Oh my god" remark

From the Associated Press (Link to article)

Feb 25 04:56 PM US/Eastern
By DAVID BAUDER
AP Television Writer

NEW YORK (AP) - MSNBC's Chris Matthews said he was surprised by the "peculiar stagecraft" of Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal's response to President Barack Obama's speech to Congress, leading him to quietly say "Oh God" as Jindal approached a microphone.
The remark inspired a brief Internet guessing game about who had said it and questions about whether someone at MSNBC was mocking the Republican governor.

Matthews' barely audible "Oh God" appeared to be a classic case of someone talking on TV without realizing their microphone was on, and potentially embarrassing to a network many Republicans already regard with suspicion because of left-leaning talk shows by Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow.

"I was taken aback by that peculiar stagecraft, the walking from somewhere in the back of this narrow hall, the winding staircase looming there, the odd antibellum look of the scene," Matthews said in a script for his "Hardball" show on Wednesday. "Was this some mimicking of a president walking along the state floor to the East Room?"

Matthews said he wasn't referring to Jindal himself, or anything he expected the governor to say.

A clip of the "Oh God" remark quickly made the Internet rounds. Before it was known that Matthews had said it, the Huffington Post asked readers to guess who it was and nearly 7,000 people responded: 32 percent had guessed Matthews, 35 percent said it was Olbermann, his co-anchor, 15 percent said it was an MSNBC camera operator and 18 percent thought it was a producer.

It's not the first time Matthews' mouth has gotten him noticed for the wrong reasons. He was ridiculed by some Republicans for saying he "felt this thrill going up my leg" during an Obama speech, but later defended the remark as an objective look at Obama's ability to inspire through his speeches.

After some protests by women's groups, Matthews said he was wrong last year to say that the reason Hillary Clinton was a senator and candidate for president "is that her husband messed around."

The Obama Speech, Republican Response

In an effort to be "fair and balanced," I have posted the videos of yesterday's speeches below:

Obama says he's against "big government" and brings "hope" to his followers

Jindal responds to Obama's speech.

NBC-Universal, Obama speech writer...what more can I say?

First off, I know history and I love history. I look at history because history tends to repeat itself. Apparently, President Obama's speech writer doesn't know history. What I am talking about is who invented the first automobile. I talked to some of my friends and they must be drinking the Kool-Aid as well, or else don't know history as well as I do. America did not create the first car. It was Germany, a man named Karl Benz. If you don't believe me, open a history book, encyclopedia or even Wikipedia, which got this one right.

Now to GE's NBC-Universal:

I watched Obama's speech, which was not a "State of the Union" as MSNBC's Rachel Maddow said. Then I waited after his speech to see Lousiana Gov. Bobby Jindal's Republican Response. I, admit, I was watching this on Fox Network. As soon as he finished his speech, I flipped through the local broadcast channels. I saw coverage on ABC and CBS, and of course Fox, where I was watching. I turned it to NBC and I saw "The Office." I was shocked, did NBC not air Jindal's response? Is NBC and GE that biased?

Now, today I find out that MSNBC's Keith Olbermann is the most disrespectful man on Earth. He is the worst person in the world. He whispered "Oh, my god" as Jindal was approaching the podium. Then when Jindal was finished talking, MSNBC's Rachel Maddow said she was speechless, yet, she had her two cents of put down as usual.

Imagine if someone said demeaning things about Obama on Fox News. What would happen? Well, the first step would be Al Sharpton attacking and then what? It would be horrible. Yet, MSNBC can say whatever they want. And I am for the First Amendment, but Olbermann and Maddow believe in the double standard that they say what they want and nobody can challenge them. That is the problem.

Now to the video:

Rewind if you didn't hear "Oh, my god." And, that is some special speech, it is "entitled." Where did Olbermann go to school?

U.S. to give more than $900 million to Gaza

For a country that seems to be strapped with cash problems, we sure have a lot to just give away. The United States is willing to give more than $900 million to help rebuild Gaza after the Israeli invasion of this year.

According to Reuters, the money will need Congressional approval before the money is shipped to Gaza though. But once it is approved, because it will be, it will be distributed through the U.N. and other bodies and not via Hamas, said an official.

Juarez and El Paso are practically war zones. Phoenix is only second to Mexico City for most kidnappings in North America.

In just the past year in Juarez, 1,000 people have been killed, including 50 police officers. Just last week, the Juarez police chief was forced to resign after a threat said that if he didn't resign, gunmen would kill one police officer ever 48 hours.

Rev. Al Sharpton apparently believes that the First Amendment only applies to himself and not to others. He is now attacking News Corp., the parent company of the New York Post.

Sharpton is calling on the city of New York to stop advertising in the newspaper and also asking for the FCC to review the waiver extended to NewsCorp., which allows it to own more than one television station and newspaper in the same city.

Here is a review of the First Amendment:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Hamas letter to Obama: Don't be biased toward Israel

Fox News article below (link to original)

U.S. Officials Outraged at U.N. Over Hamas Letter to Obama

Sen. John Kerry will not be visiting Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal during his trip to Syria Saturday and U.S. officials in Jerusalem are furious at the United Nations Relief and Works agency for its handling of the letter.

U.S. officials are furious with the United Nations for its role in Hamas' attempt to enlist U.S. Sen John Kerry to transfer a letter from the Palestinian militant group to President Obama during Kerry's trip to the Middle East, an official source told FOX News.

The incident also has raised security concerns over how much Hamas knew about Kerry's travel plans.

Kerry turned the letter over to the U.S. consulate in Jerusalem on Friday, saying he was unaware that it was from Hamas until hearing about the letter in media reports, including on the BBC. He told FOX News on Saturday that he will not be visiting Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal during his trip to Syria on Saturday. He is scheduled to meet with Syrian President Bashar Assad.

U.S. officials in Jerusalem are outraged at the United Nations Relief and Works agency for apparently handing the letter off to Kerry.

The official source who spoke to FOX News argued that if the U.N. had a letter from Hamas, it should have given U.S. officials a heads-up before the news was leaked to media organizations.

The Hamas official who wrote the letter confirmed to FOX News that he wrote Obama personally, asking him not to be biased toward Israel in its conflict with the Palestinians and to act fairly. He also said Hamas is ready to talk directly to a new American administration.

This Hamas official insists he had the backing of the group to write the letter, but it appears the official acted alone.

Kerry turned the letter over to the U.S. consulate in Jerusalem on Friday and his spokesman told FOX News that the Democratic senator was not aware that the letter was from Hamas when he accepted it from an official with the U.N. relief agency.

Kerry told FOX News that he never read the letter because it was sandwich among other promotional papers the U.N. gave him. A State Department official confirmed to FOX News that it was from Hamas and is now under review.

A potential concern was whether such a letter would violate the United States' policy toward Hamas. Obama has said his administration will not engage in diplomatic talks with Hamas unless the group renounces terrorism and affirms Israel's right to exist.

In addition, a U.S. official said there were security issues with the letter. The official who spoke to FOX News said there is concern that Hamas had advance notice that Kerry was visiting, which may raise issues of trust with the U.N. on future diplomatic trips.

FOX News' Reena Ninan and Nina Donaghy contributed to this report.

Socialize sports?

A reporter asked University of Connecticut basketball coach Jim Calhoun if he should take a pay cut due to the hard economic times of the state. I agree that coaches and athletes are paid too much. I always ask myself, "What do they do with all of that money?" But it isn't the coach or athlete's fault that he is getting that enormous salary. If I had the chance on getting paid that much, I'd take it.

The people who get paid large salaries can do what they please with their money. They can give some of it to charity or spend it all on themselves.

I, for one, wish that athletes did not get paid so much. I want to go to the games and they are so expensive. But, if their employer wants to pay them a lot, that's their problem.

Obama wants to halve budget deficit

President Barack Obama said today in his weekly radio address that he wants to halve the federal budget deficit. His goal is to halve the $1.3 trillion deficit to $533 billion by 2013. But how? What would a blazing liberal socialist do? Well, what else? Tax, tax and tax some more. Tax the wealthy until they aren't wealthy anymore. We all must be equal.

Obama also said that he is going to scale back troops in Iraq and withdraw most combat troops within 16 months of taking office. And, get rid of the Bush tax cuts. You know, why give money back to tax payers? Why not just tax them.

How else are we going to get free healthcare? Tax, tax and tax some more.

The sad thing is that the deficit that Obama is talking about does not include the $787 stimulus package.

And, don't forget about Obama's plan to end America's reliance on foreign oil. We must get green technology. You know, "green" technology is not cheap. We are in a recession, so how can "green" technology be paid for? Tax, tax and tax. And, what company makes this "green" technology? General Electric. We already know about General Electric and its ties to Obama and television.

Obama, you talk about fiscal discipline. You say we must to this and that. Look who's talking?! Do as I say and not as I do. What a hypocrite increasing the temperature in the White House to feel like Hawai'i.

My opinion on events

I am not happy seeing the direction the United States is heading. Day by day, we are reminded at how the Dow Jones Industrial Average has dropped. It seems like Wall Street continues to fall and there is no end in sight. Then we have this so called stimulus package which won't do anything to stimulate the American economy.

Each day seems to be dimmer and dimmer. We are reminded of crisis after crisis. If Obama says the word "crisis" one more time I am going to explode. We have NBC News which leads off every newscast with a new crisis. We have the Weather Channel with the trumped up "climate crisis." It's weather, Weather Channel, get over it! It is cold in the winter and warm in the summer. This is weather. Just because it snows in winter, it's not because of global warming. Have you guys learned anything in your meteorology classes, or are you taking the General Electric company line so you can sell your "green" products?

Then we have Washington. These guys are idiots. We have Barney Frank, we have Chris Dodd, we have Robert Byrd, we have Ted Kennedy and we can't forget about Joe Biden. You know what, back in 1977, not during the last eight years as Obama always says, a little known act was passed, it was the Community Reinvestment Act. This act created sub-prime loans. The Democrats said that everyone deserves a house, even if they don't have enough money to pay for their mortgage. Great idea, it is the American dream after all. Jimmy Carter signed the bill and Robert Byrd, Ted Kennedy and Joe Biden were there to vote for it. This bill forced banks to give people loans that they could not afford. Yes, it was the government that did this. It is not the banks' fault.

Yes, Carter signed it, then it went on year by year. The housing market stayed steady until Bill Clinton became president. Then the Democrats said lets look back into the Community Reinvestment Act and make it even easier to get a house, because we all need a house. In 1992, this began the downfall of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. These two institutions, owned by the government, were forced to lend people money for affordable housing.

And we all know what happened with these mortgages. The bubble burst in 2003. People were getting foreclosure notices and nice neighborhoods seemed to become vacant lots.

Then we hear about General Motors, Chrysler LLC and Ford Motor Company. The "Big Three" began to bleed money. GM and Chrysler get "bridge loans" which is actually a bail out. GM and Chrysler are back again asking for more money. GM and Chrysler are failing. Meanwhile Ford asked for no federal money, yet, they are in the same sinking boat.

People are not buying cars, these companies will continue to build more cars for who? Really, these cars will be just sitting on lots as these car companies continue to bleed. Chrysler wants another $4 billion and GM wants another $16 billion. Just think about it, GM will be back out with its hands asking for more money in August, then in December and who knows when. Same with Chrysler. And then there is Ford. What is Ford going to do? Just fail? Or, do they have a way out?

We have people in this country who seem to be entitled to their fine style of living and they can't pay for it. We have Obama now saying that if you can't pay your mortgage that he'll find a way to lower the rates so everyone can stay in their homes. This is for, of course, the people who are living in homes that they cannot afford. For the people who are just barely paying their mortgage, nothing is done. Obama says "Heck with you."

What happened to the America that wanted to be cutting edge? Where did that go? What happened to the American ingenuity? You know, the 1940s through the late 1960s. This was a time of American progress. Now it's all gone. America has become lazy and no other country is willing to take the torch.

America is entitled to be the world leader even if it doesn't deserve it.

At this rate of progress, with the stimulus bill and bailing out people who can't pay for their homes and giving money to GM and Chrysler and we have the government practically owning the banks, we'll have a hyperinflation soon. We will be in a depression by January. All Obama and Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Chris Dodd and Barney Frank do is make it worse. Yet, I believe that the Democrats will gain seats in the House and Senate in two years because they'll just blame this all on George W. Bush.

This is what could happen: either automakers fail or the government fails. If the automakers fail, there will be a deep depression and most likely a revolution. If the government fails, there will be a revolution. Either way, there is not enough money to keep the government and all these companies afloat. The US dollar will soon be completely worthless.

Where is the investigation into the House and Senate? And specifically, the banking committees and all other committees that deal with the economy.

Soon, at this rate, we will be a part of the "collective." Everyone will be equal, no rich, no middle class; all will be poor.

We'll have no GM, no Chrysler, no Ford. And this is just the United States. Look at Canada. Europe is in just as bad of shape.

I really hope we get socialized healthcare to make this depression come just a bit quicker than without free healthcare. High taxes, hyper inflation, depression, revolution. This is the future of America.

Might as well just throw away that old crusty paper that the Democrats have interpreted out of existance. This is, or was, the Constitution. It's done. Bye bye America. Hello new Russia!

Oh, I almost forgot, Obama has never said a good thing about the United States. How can an American president love China and dislike America? This is the "change we can believe in."

The United States is regressing. What's new? Nothing. Where's our version of Edison, Ford, Hershey, Franklin? Please step up.

Obama has never seen a hockey game

President Barack Obama has lived in Chicago for much of his life. He is now the president, as we all know. While in Chicago, he has never gone to any Black Hawks or Wolves game. This is amazing.

Now, he is in Canada, and he will witness a little known sport named hockey.

He is a 47-year-old man! His first hockey game! Better late than never.

Obama says he likes the White Sox and Bears. Oh, and Steelers. And, Phillies. Oh, I almost forgot, the Rays. Actually, he likes every team. I am willing to bet he could not name ever sports franchise in North America's four major sports.

After all, he doesn't even enjoy bowling. But he can shoot some hoops with his friends.

By the way, I can name every team in America's four major sports. Try me.

Obama, cabinet continue to put down America

The latest is Attorney General Eric Holder. He says that the United States is a "nation of cowards" when it comes to racial matters.

He believes this country is as racist as it was 50 years ago. I though racism ended when Barack Obama got elected.

If anyone is racist, it's those people who voted for Obama only to forgive their own racist views. The Democratic Party thrives on racism, just look at Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.

Don't forget about Obama, he says the word "crisis" every day. He is now the leader of the socialist revolution, you know, bailouts to everyone, including people who don't deserve their homes.

Iran holds enough uranium for bomb
By Daniel Dombey

Published: February 19 2009 21:18 | Last updated: February 19 2009 21:18

Iran has now built up a stockpile of enough enriched uranium for one nuclear bomb, United Nations officials acknowledged on Thursday.

In a development that comes as the Obama administration is drawing up its policy on negotiations with Tehran over its nuclear programme, UN officials said Iran had produced more nuclear material than previously thought.

They said Iran had now accumulated more than one tonne of low enriched uranium hexafluoride at a facility in Natanz. If such a quantity were further enriched it could produce more than 20kg of fissile material – enough for a bomb.

“It appears that Iran has walked right up to the threshold of having enough low enriched uranium to provide enough raw material for a single bomb,” said Peter Zimmerman, a former chief scientist of the US Arms Control and Disarmament Agency

The new figures come in a report by the International Atomic Energy Agency, the UN’s nuclear watchdog, released on Thursday.

This revealed that Iran’s production of low enriched uranium had previously been underestimated.

When the agency carried out an annual stocktaking of Natanz in mid-November Iran had produced 839 kg of low enriched uranium hexafluoride – more than 200kg more than previously thought.

Tehran then produced an additional 171 kg by the end of January.

“It’s sure as hell certain that if they didn’t have it [enough] when the IAEA took these measurements, they will have it in a matter of weeks,” Mr Zimmerman said.

Iran’s success in reaching such a “breakout capacity” – a stage which would allow it to produce enough fissile material for a bomb in a matter of months – crosses a “red line” that for years Israel has said it would not accept.

However, UN officials emphasise that in order to produce fissile material Iran would have to reconfigure its Natanz plant to produce high enriched uranium rather than low enriched uranium – a highly visible step that would take months – or to shift its stockpile to another clandestine site.

No such sites have been proved to exist, although for decades Iran hid evidence of its nuclear programme.

A senior UN official added that countries usually waited until they had an enriched uranium stockpile sufficient for several bombs before proceeding to develop fissile material. But he conceded that Iran now had enough enriched uranium for one bomb.

“Do they have enough low enriched uranium to produce a significant quantity [enough high enriched uranium for a bomb]?” he asked. “In theory this is possible, [although] with the present configuration at Natanz it isn’t.”

David Albright, the head of the Institute for Science and International Security, said: ““If Iran did decide to build nuclear weapons, it’s entering an era in which it could do so quickly.”

New York Post protested for monkey cartoon

Al Sharpton and others came to protest outside the New York Post this morning for both of their first amendment rights. Except, Sharpton and the others outside the New York Post were a little confused about a cartoon they were chanting about. The cartoon featured a monkey, like the one that was shot yesterday. This cartoon dealt with the "Stimulus," so they assumed it was about Obama, but it wasn't Obama who wrote this bill. The answer below. Well, it was her idea, there is no way she could write the entire thing on such short of time.

Is this racist? Didn't Nancy Pelosi write this bill? All Obama did was sign it. So what is with the outrage?

And another New York Post cartoon. This says it all.

Pelosi reminded by pope on what a Catholic believes

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who is all-knowing when it comes to Catholic affairs, got reminded on basic, and I mean basic, Christian beliefs when it comes to life.

Pope Benedict XVI told Pelosi that we have to protect life "at all stages of its development." She has voted for abortions over and over again. Word on if this sunk into Pelosi's head is not for certain because she does not typically follow her beliefs and political laws. She makes her own.

I find it interesting that California is in a deep financial crisis and the United States is also in economic trouble. Pelosi is from California and is the most powerful woman in America. Some may say Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, but it is really Pelosi.

Obama is not a fan of Churchill, sends back bust to England

After the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, British Prime Minister Tony Blair sent a bust of former Prime Minister Winston Churchill to help President Bush with guidance in a post 9/11 world.

Churchill is considered the best and most popular prime minister in the history of Great Britain. He is an equivalent to Washington and Lincoln in the United States.

Yet, President Barack Obama has sent back the bust of Churchill. What is this supposed to mean? Is Obama not going to be as friendly with the UK as previous presidents? Does Obama just not like Churchill?

Chavez is "president" for life with vote

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez won a referendum vote this weekend to end term limits in Venezuela. Chavez said to a roaring crowd, "Those who voted "yes" today voted for socialism, for revolution." Chavez held up a painting with read "Forever," this seems eerily similar to President Barack Obama's "Hope" and "Change" posters.

Chavez won the vote to become dictator of Venezuala 54 percent to 46 percent. The voter turnout was 67 percent.

One lady, Josefa Dugarte, who watched from her apartment said, "These people don't realize what they have done."

The people of Venezuela are either brainwashed or are totally in fear of Chavez. This man's idol is Fidel Castro. Chavez runs the lives of the people of Venezuela. And the world just watches.

House passes 'stimulus' bill 246-183

Seven Democrats voted "Nay" to the Stimulus package. They were Bright, Ala.; Griffith, Ala.; Peterson, Minn.; Defazio, Ore.; Minnick, Idaho; Shuler, NC; and Taylor, Miss. The bill had now Republican support. In the original bill in the House, 11 Democrats voted "nay."

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is ecstatic about passing the stimulus bill.

And, here is the House vote.

(Screen shots are courtesy of C-SPAN)

And again, what did they vote on? They don't even know. The bill is here. The bill is also available on a prior blog posting.

Stimulus Package is online just in time for vote

President Barack Obama promised that each bill would be posted online so the American public could see what is inside the bill for five days prior to its signing. This promise has been broken twice so far, and is about to be broken for it's third time. this makes Obama 0-3 on this promise.

Obama promised transparency and I can see right through this. I don't even know how the word "transparency" can be a good thing. By definition, the word means "fine or sheer enough to be seen through." Down the list of the possible meanings of the word from Merriam-Webster is what Obama defines as transparency: "free from pretense or deceit, easily detected or seen through, readily understood, characterized by visibility or accessibility of information especially concerning business practices."

Obama said five days. This bill was posted online this morning. It will be voted on tonight because House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has to be in Rome tomorrow for some reason, maybe a well-deserved vacation.

Below are the pdf's of the "stimulus" package and it's 1,071 pages of fun:

Fairness Doctrine getting more talk in Washington, or is it?

Sen. Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., has been getting a lot of airtime in the last couple weeks. She did say that she was in support of the "Fairness Doctrine," which only silences conservative talk radio. She has close ties to the liberal talk radio world because her husband has owned various liberal radio stations.

This idea of the "Fairness Doctrine" being reintroduced into law may happen, but nothing is official yet, according to the Detroit News. The Detroit News with Politico.com say that "no member of Congress has scheduled hearings, there is no Fairness Doctrine legislation being introduced, and the long-dormant broadcast law is likely to stay that way."

Stabenow may be talking about the "Fairness Doctrine" but nothing is going to change, at least they say that now.

Former President Bill Clinton is also speaking his two cents about the "Fairness Doctrine" these days. He spoke to the Politico:

"Well, you either ought to have the Fairness Doctrine or we ought to have more balance on the other side," Clinton said, "because essentially there's always been a lot of big money to support the right wing talk shows and let face it, you know, Rush Limbaugh is fairly entertaining even when he is saying things that I think are ridiculous."

The Democrats may not like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck and others, but they also don't want to see AM radio die. So if they want AM radio to survive, they better not mess with bringing back the "Fairness Doctrine."

Here is a video from Fox News today about this topic:

Obama: Lincoln was a bipartisan

History is being re-written everyday. Abraham Lincoln was a bipartisan. That's what President Barack Obama things. He also believes that if Lincoln was alive today, he would be in favor of his stimulus package.

Now, let's look at the facts about our 16th president, Abraham Lincoln. He was not bipartisan. If he was a bipartisan, the Confederate States of America would still be in existence. There would have been no American Civil War. Lincoln would have not suspended habeas corpus, where people were arrested for no real reason and could be held for no other reason than this person did not side with the Union and was a traitor. Around 18,000 Confederate sympathizers were held without trial.

Remember what the Democrats said about President George W. Bush having terrorists jailed at Gitmo? Bush actually is allowing a trial.

Would Lincoln have approved of the stimulus package? Most likely not. Why, you may ask? Lincoln was a Constitutionalist. He would most likely want the government to stay out of the private sector.

Look at the Founding Fathers of our nation. Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, John Adams and the others did not even want the government of the United States to even build roads. The Founding Fathers wanted the people of the country to work together to build projects. Franklin, himself, did not take any government money when he built the nation's first hospital, first library and college. He took donations from people who wanted these projects built. Just look at how far we have come! The government now builds everything. How would our Founding Fathers, not to mention Lincoln, think of the America of today?

By the way, today is Abraham Lincoln's 200th birthday. Happy Birthday President Lincoln!!

Obama wishes his best to Lincoln too during today's birthday celebration:

Obama says that Lincoln is his inspiration. Maybe Obama should look more into that. He should has himself, what would Lincoln do in this situation?

Obama has list of interviewees at press conferences

President Barack Obama had a little problem on Monday at his press conference. You see, Obama selects certain people to ask him questions. Good thing that Fox News is one of them.

Ok, here's what happened, when it came time for Obama to select Chuck Todd of NBC News, he didn't realize that he was not in the room. Obama said, according to The Wall Street Journal, "All, Chuck Todd. Where's Chuck?" Then later in the press conference when it came time to select Major Garrett of Fox News he had the same question, "Where's Major?"

I guess even Obama follows a script in his non-scripted White House.

Sen. Inouye: 'If we go down, there will be chaos on this globe'

Sen. Daniel Inouye, D-Hawai'i, has some harsh words to those who are against the stimulus package:

He said these words after the U.S. House and Senate reached a compromise on the stimulus package. He and other Senators made statements, including the three Republicans who are Republicans by name only, Sen. Arlen Specter, Sen. Olympia Snowe and Sen. Susan Collins. But the best moment of the speeches was what Sen. Inouye said. He is priceless.

The Democrats are using these three Republicans as their own puppets and it looks pathetic. They snatched the weak and now they are showing them off to the world as their own.

Socialism Tour: The Barack Obama Show Live from Florida!

Behind door number one: a house. What's behind door number two: a dream night announcing a baseball game. And, door number three? Free Healthcare!

President Barack Obama is the new Bob Barker or Oprah Winfrey.

Rush Limbaugh gives his explanation of the Obama Show in Fort Myers, Florida:

What Obama voters are thinking:

Healthcare czar in stimulus package

Just saying, since when does the word "czar" mean something good? The word "czar" comes from the name Caesar. Caesar was a dictator and his relatives and others who took his name were also dictators. Then we have the Russians. Before the rise of Stalin in Russia, the country was led by czars.

Now, we have President Barack Obama who loves czars. He is appointing czars for everything. These people will be in control of various programs. And, when I say control, I mean control.

In the Stimulus Package, there is an amendment to have a healthcare czar. This means that this person will be in control of your healthcare. He or she gives you permission if you can have a certain surgery, take certain pills, and this is only the beginning. Essentially, in the Stimulus Package is socialized healthcare. You know, the kind of healthcare that the Canadians love. I'm kidding of course, because they hate it.

Obama says that he won the election. That is true. He also says that by winning he can do what he wants, because he won. He says that the American people want socialized healthcare. He won and he can do as he pleases. By America voting him in, the American people are saying that they want Nancy Pelosi to make any wacked-out bill that Obama wants.

Essentially, Obama is saying, "I won, so it's my way or the highway." He thinks he is king. He believes that the "New Deal" got us out of the Great Depression. He actually believes that. He doesn't realize that it made it worse. Does he know history? At least watch Ferris Bueller's Day Off once in a while to get a briefest of all history lessons of the Great Depression. In the movie it talks about the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act, where the United States increased the tariff, or tax, on foreign goods to help out domestic good. This didn't work because foreign countries did the same and the U.S. and other countries sunk further into the Great Depression. Now, what Obama wants to do is pass a "stimulus" and later increase taxes to get back that revenue. This is much like this tariff act in that a tax is used to increase government revenue. Instead of taxing foreign countries, he is taxing the people within the country. This all happened prior to the "New Deal." The "New Deal" was government spending.

Obama wants it both ways, he wants the new "New Deal" and an increase in taxes.

I'm not saying that the "New Deal" was all bad, but it didn't help the nation's economy. It did set banking regulations with the FDIC and created numerous other "alphabet" programs. People lost millions of dollars with the failures of banks and with the FDIC today, that didn't happen. Well, for the most part, the FDIC does have limits on how much money is "safe."

And, again, Obama and his love of "czars." He has a climate czar, an energy czar, a drug czar, a cyber czar, an auto czar and who knows what other kind of czar. Each day he announces a need for a new czar to make sure the American people know what they are doing and they do it right.

In the words of Obama: "It is only government that can break the vicious cycle where lost jobs lead to people spending less money which leads to even more layoffs. This is not your ordinary run-of-the-mill recession. We are going through the worse economic crisis since the Great Depression."

Uplifting, eh? The man who brings hope and change is using scare tactics. And this "stimulus package" is nothing new as I have said. Franklin D. Roosevelt did this too, "The New Deal."

What will Obama say next: This is the worst economic crisis since the Civil War? Since the War of 1812? Since the Revolutionary War? Or better yet, since the fall of the Roman Empire? I would say Spanish Empire, but that fell during or after (depending on many sources) the Spanish-American War.

Is this America anymore? A satirical cartoon I found on the internet may say it best:

Obama rewards the liberal media

From Politico--

Schultz: 'I have earned that seat'

Liberal radio host Ed Schultz kicked off his show today by addressing a Politico item from last night.

"I end up with a front row seat in the first prime-time press conference, and all of a sudden it's all over the blogosphere," Schultz said.

Schultz called Politico's Jonathan Martin a "punk" and a "nitwit" for asking if it was an assigned seat.

"I have earned that seat," the veteran radio host said on the air.

Schultz claimed that conservative hosts had access to the Oval Office during the Bush years, and that wasn't noted by the press. However, I think it's safe to say that if McCain were elected, and Limbaugh had a spot right up front, the media would call attention to it.

By seating him in the front row, taking a question from the Huffington Post, and calling on Helen Thomas, Schultz said it's evident that the White House is "listening outside the mainstream media."

After getting credentialed, Schultz was informed that he probably wouldn't get question. However, if called upon, Schultz said he would have asked about unions and protecting American jobs in the stimulus package.

Previous Politco posting:

Schultz gets front row seat

What if Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh were up front at Bush's press conferences in the East Room?

Well, as network correspondents sat in the second row, liberal radio host Ed Schultz managed to snag a seat up front, right next to Helen Thomas.

Schultz told Politico's Jonathan Martin that his front row was seat was assigned to him.

Newsweek: We Are All Socialists Now

Newsweek magazine embraces Socialism. They love Socialism so much that they made it the leading story on this week's publication.

"We are all Socialists now."

Newsweek says that the United States now more closely resembles a European country and lost it's American values. America has lost Capitalism and so we must embrace Socialism and later, it's cousin, Communism.

European citizens depend on their governments for everything. The State practically "owns" them. High taxes give them free schooling and free healthcare after waiting hours, sometimes years, in long lines at hospitals. The percentage of people who believe in God is very low because it is so depressing to be a European. This is the future that Newsweek wants for America.

Good thing that President Obama knows all about Socialism. He can get us through this.
