Chicago Machine on full power with Blagojevich, Rush

Illinois disgraced Gov. Rod Blagojevich is still pulling the strings. He apparently does not feel threatened one bit. After all, the state legislature only threatened to take his appointing powers away from him and never did. Illinois is corrupt all around. Whoever comes from Chicago is most likely corrupt.

Now, Blagojevich has appointed Roland Burris to take Obama's empty Senate seat. The governor says it is his duty to do so, which is true, but why this way? We know now that Burris did give Blagojevich significant campaign contributions in the past. So this could be why he was chosen. It's all about the money to Blagojevich. Burris may be qualified, but why did he even accept this appointment? This only hurts Burris's reputation.

Then after the appointment, Bobby Rush spoke. Rush was a co-founder of the Illinois Black Panthers in 1968. He says that it would be a national emergency if there was no African American in the U.S. Senate. Come on, how racist can someone be?! Just because he or she is black? Is that how it is these days? What ever happened to the most qualified candidate? This person could be white, black, Asian, Indian, or anything else.

You know, Chicago rules Illinois. Springfield and Peoria mean nothing. Just listen to Blagojevich and Rush. It's all about "our community" of Chicago.

Below is a video of yesterday's press conference:

Rush shares his racist views on CBS Early Show today:

One more time with Rush from yesterday's press conference:

Does Bobby Rush know how racist he sounds when he speaks? He brings up Hispanics, Asians and women?! My gosh. And this man is a friend of Blagojevich. How much more do we need of this fiasco?!

A Sense of Entitlement? Caroline Kennedy wants seat

Photo is courtesy of the Associated Press and Yahoo!

Is Caroline qualified to be the next U.S. Senator from New York? Is Caroline Kennedy qualified to be the next senator from New York? If she was not a Kennedy, would she have a shot at this job? Heck No!

She has never held a public office in her life. But, now she says she deserves this job because of her family lineage. I'll tell you what, her family would be nobodies if it wasn't for prohibition.

This is all about power. The Kennedy's embrace power. Ted and his son, Patrick, are all of what's left of the Kennedy clan in Washington.

The Kennedy's run the Northeast United States:

CURRENT
Ted Kennedy, US Senate-Mass (b. Mass)
Patrick Kennedy, US House-RI (b. Mass)

PAST
Joseph P. Kennedy Sr., SEC Chairman, Ambassador to UK (b. Mass)
John F. Kennedy, US President, US Senate-Mass, US House-Mass (b. Mass)
Robert F. Kennedy, US Attorney General, US Senate-NY (b. Mass)

Married into family:
Robert Sargent Shriver, 1972 Dem. VP Candidate (b. Maryland)

And there's more...

Below is an Associated Press article about Caroline today:

Caroline Kennedy says she has lots to learn, offer
By JENNIFER PELTZ, Associated Press Writer

NEW YORK – The Rev. Al Sharpton took Caroline Kennedy to lunch Thursday at a famed Harlem soul food restaurant as she continued her quest to join her uncle in the U.S. Senate.

Kennedy smiled as she and the civil rights activist made their way through a throng of media and into Sylvia's, whose walls are lined with photographs of visiting politicians including the Clintons.

"I come at this as a mother, as a lawyer, as an author, as an education advocate and from a family that really has spent generations in public service," Kennedy told reporters after lunch. "I feel this commitment, and this is a time when nobody can afford to sit out. And I hope that I have something to offer."

The late President John F. Kennedy's daughter acknowledged Wednesday she's seeking to be appointed to the Senate seat held by Hillary Rodham Clinton, who has been nominated by President-elect Barack Obama to be secretary of state.

Kennedy was asked what she would need to do to prepare herself for the post, which has attracted the interest of at least a dozen Democratic officials including her former relative by marriage, state Attorney General Andrew Cuomo.

"I have, you know, quite a lot to learn, but I feel like I bring a lot with me, as well," Kennedy said.

She was also asked why she was plunging into politics now, after spending most of her life carefully cultivating her privacy.
"These are issues that I care so much about and I understand that, really, I have been trying to work on them as a private citizen and in the position that I have," she said. "But really, to solve our problems, I think government is the place where people need to come together."

Kennedy's emergence as a contender has generated both buzz and controversy. She comes from a Democratic dynasty but has never held public office, and some Republicans and Democrats have criticized her lack of experience.

Democratic Gov. David Paterson has said he won't make an appointment until Clinton is confirmed. The governor confirmed Kennedy's interest in the seat on Monday, the same day she reached out to Sharpton in a telephone call.

After speaking to Kennedy, Sharpton released a statement saying he disagreed with those who say she isn't qualified to be U.S. senator.

He said he had invited her to dine wtih him at Sylvia's this week, reminding her that he took Obama there during his campaign "so it's a good luck stop since he did all right."

Obama selects Agriculture and Interior secretaries

Is it just me or does Sen. Ken Salazar talk just like Barack Obama?

The Obama believers' creed

I believe in Obama, the hope of all,
maker of change and yes we can
And in Barack Obama, his son, our messiah,
who was conceived by hope
born of Ann Dunham
suffered nothing as trouble bounces off of him
is alive, to bring hope and change
he descended into the New Party
he rose again in the Chicago Machine
he ascended to the presidency
and sits in the Oval Office
from thence he brings hope and change to the world

I believe in Hope
Change
Yes We Can
And spreading the wealth. Amen.

(Inspired by the Apostles' Creed of the Christian Church and is used as humor. I do not believe in Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. as the messiah)

Written by me. I will make a creed based off the Nicene Creed at some point featuring Rev. Wright.

Auto bailout dies in U.S. Senate

I am not sure what to think. I want to save America's automotive jobs in case the companies fail. Bankruptcy is just a reorganization. But what if they can't figure out how to save themselves?

General Motors is in the worst shape. They could go bankrupt next week. Then comes Chrysler LLC. They could go bankrupt by Jan. 1. Ford says they are ok, but are they?

The Big Three need to do something new. But what? Who is buying cars these days? Only the car buyer can save the automotive industry. I guess for now the answer is to build fewer cars and see what happens.

Below is a C-Span video when the vote was finalized. It is with the courtesy of YouTube.

Fox Chicago: Rahm Emanuel spoke with Blagojevich about seat

President-elect Barack Obama's chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, may be the "advisor" named in the criminal complaint against Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

According to Fox Chicago, reportedly Emanuel spoke to Blagojevich about Obama's senate seat.

At yesterday's Obama press conference when he confirmed his nomination of Tom Daschle for the Secretary of Health and Human Services, Mr. Emanuel did not speak to the press. Obama spoke about his displeasure about the pay-for-play scandal, but Emanuel said nothing.

What happened on Dec. 7, 1941?

Who dropped the bombs? America or Japan? According to Rev. Jeremiah Wright it was America. Of course this day was the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii.

But who needs to know history?

Barack Obama and his friends. I love Illinois.

What is the Blagojevich-Obama Relationship?

Obama Senior Adviser David Axelrod: "I know he's talked to the governor and there are a whole range of names many of which have surfaced, and I think he has a fondness for a lot of them."

That was then (Nov. 23). This is now (Dec. 9): "I was mistaken when I told an interviewer last month that the President-elect has spoken directly to Governor Blagojevich about the Senate vacancy. They did not then or at any time discuss the subject."

What is the truth?

This is only the beginning.

What's New? Political Corruption in Illinois

Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich was awoken this morning at 6 a.m. by the FBI.

What did he do? He was only looking out for his best interest. He was only selling the US Senate seat to the highest bidder. It was just another pay-to-play. Oh, and he did threaten the Chicago Tribune. And, he got benefits for himself and his wife from state contracts. This is nothing.

You know I'm joking, but really this is no joke. This man is a crook. He's worse than his predecessor, Gov. Ryan.

Big 3 Ask For Money: Part Deux

It looks as though Detroit's "Big Three" have a plan now. At least it includes not flying to Washington on private jets. Instead, the chairmen of General Motors, Ford and Chrysler will be driving themselves from Michigan to D.C. in their latest hybrid automobiles. That's a start. It's better than flying, but still, hybrids aren't exactly cheap vehicles, but they do get better gas mileage, I suppose.

Ford Motor Company says they are in the best shape of the three. At least that's what they say now, yet, they still want a loan. Go figure. Chrysler, LLC also wants a loan, but they wont say what kind of shape they are in. Now, the big behemoth, you know, the company that is too big to fail, General Motors is acting like the end of the world is near.

Ford says they will cut the number of dealerships and even the chairman said he would work on a $1 salary.

And now the UAW is saying that if GM does not get a loan soon, the company will go bankrupt before Christmas.

What can be done? I don't think the fault of all this is solely because the "Big Three" are unionized. That's a part of it, but not all. It all goes up to the higher management. Will they fix the companies? Probably not, but a federal loan will help, but for how long?
