Economy is too poor for Starbucks

Starbucks Coffee announced today that the company will close 600 underperforming stores which would be the elimination of about 12,000 jobs.

Did Starbucks expand too quickly across the nation or is the economy at fault? It is probably a combination of the two, but each certainly did not help the other.

As Starbucks is closing many stores, other companies are feeling the same crunch.

I'm sure the prices at Starbucks did not help in this poor economy. People have to think, gas or coffee, the obvious answer is gas and go somewhere else for a cheaper cup of coffee.
