Democratic Party presidential candidate Barack Obama said and said again that he has a plan to become energy independent when he becomes President of the United States. Yet, he is against drilling for oil in Alaska and off-shore in the Gulf of Mexico. How are we to become energy independent if he won't do anything. Is this "independence" going to happen on its own or will it happen when we, as Americans quit buying gas because we can no longer afford it? With no one driving, this would satisfy Al Gore and his pet global warming. Although, Gore will continue to fly on his private jet.
Obama is not for the American automotive industry. He is out to destroy it.
